After completing her residency at New York-Presbytarian Hospital, in conjunction with Columbia University Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical School, Dr. Shoval recieved board certification in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilition.
Dr. Shoval is Certified in Performing Arts Medicine
The Performing Arts Medicine Association awarded Dr. Shoval certification in Performing Arts Medicine. As Dr. Shoval dances in her free time, this is an area closely aligned with her passions.
Participated in the Winner of the AAPM&R Video Competition
In 2016, AAPM&R organized a video competition, inviting participants to help explain what the field of physiatry is all about. Dr. Shoval participated in the winning entry.
Dr. Shoval Completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine
Dr. Shoval completed a two year clinical fellowship in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine at New York-Presbytarian Hospital, in combination with Columbia University Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical College.
Dr. Shoval Completed a Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Medicine
After completing her internship year in Internal Medicine, Dr. Shoval completed a further three year residency in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine at New York-Presbytarian Hospital, in combination with Columbia University Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical College.
Congratulations to Team NYP for winning the coveted 2015 Resident Rehab Bowl Championship, an annual competition sponsored by the New York Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for residents from hospitals in the New York metropolitan area. Questions were based on the third edition of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Board Review by Sara J. Cuccurullo, MD. In addition, Team NYP took home the Spirit Award for the second year in a row.
Dr. Shoval was the inaugural fellow for NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital’s accredited Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Fellowship
After finishing her residency training in Physiatry at the joint program with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Dr. Shoval continued at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, becoming the first fellow in the newly accredited program.
